Beng Melea to Koh Ker

Your tour guide will assist you in buying tickets before you start your tour from:

1- Driving on national road 6 outside of Siem Reap town to Beng Mealea. Enjoy the scenery along the way to temple. See the rice paddies, village homes. Meet local villagers and enjoy talking with them if you stop to see Bamboo sticky rice making village.

2- Stop to buy Beng Mealea ticket

3- Beng Mealea temple is nestled in the jungle. Explore the ancient ruins of this untouched temple and marvel at trees and vegetation growing from the stone walls.

4- Drive about 1 hour from Beng Mealea to Koh Ker. before you reach koh ker on the way you will view rice paddy, rubber plantation, cashew plantation, pepper plantation, banana plantation, sasame plantation.

5- Stop to buy temple pass

6- Koh Ker is one of the lesser known cities buried in the tropical jungle is. This temple complex was built before Angkor Wat. Visit this site before it becomes a major tourist attraction. visit Prasat Thom is mega Hindu Pyramid rise in the middle of tropical jungle. Pra Sat Pram is a 5 brick towers temple which last over 1000 years old till to day. Pra Sat Neang Kmoa is a black temple built from laterite, Linga temple.

7- Return to Siem Reap and drop you off at hotel after the tour.

Please note that you must be dressed appropriately for visiting some of our temples, Angkor Wat, Baphoun inside Angkor Thom, Phnom Bakheng and climbing some temples. This means your pants or skirt should cover your knees and shirt can not be sleeveless (make sure that your shirt covers your shoulders, no singlets!) otherwise you won’t be allowed entry or to climb up this is by Temples Authority.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended and wearing light cotton clothes are suggested as well for the weather from March to July as it’s very hot with high humidity.
We suggest you to bring your camera charger then you can recharge it during your lunch break at restaurant.
The official currency in Cambodia is the Cambodian Riel (KHR), however USD$ are used everywhere in the country and most of the prices are set in USD. We advise you to bring US$ and remember to bring new and clean bank notes as the old or torn notes will not be accepted at most places. ATMs are almost everywhere in the city also and making it easy to withdraw cash in USD. The exchange rate is usually roughly KHR4000 to US$1, so if you give US$2 for something which costs KHR6000, you will usually receive back KHR2000.
